In Chicago, police have confronted a man who has been charged with killing a 2-year-old toddler by shooting him mercilessly.
Devon Swan, a 26-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder for shooting fatally a toddler boy named Lavontay White, who was along with his uncle also deceased, a 26-year-old named Lazaric Collins, a statement released on Saturday by Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson from Chicago Police.
The killings took place on Tuesday, and both the uncle and nephew died on the spot, and it was noted that the shooting was captured on video and streamed live on Facebook. Police have speculated initially that the main target was Collins but his nephew got caught in between, and now they are confirmed about their initials.
According to reports, this was the 3rd children died within four days in Chicago, and Lavontay was just 2-year-old, whereas the other two were Takiya Holmes and Kanari Bowers who were 11-year-old died on Tuesday, and 12-years old died on Wednesday respectively.
These following incidents enraged bigger questions, about what are happening to the youths that lead them into killing one and another, and how is the government doing in controlling alcohol, drugs, firearms and explosives in the city. As per the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives said it would deploy more of their agents in the city to stop this situation.
When Swan was arrested, still now there was no one has come to claim neither him nor anyone to pursue a comment on his behalf.
