The average gasoline price has witnessed a jump of 6 cents all over the US since the last two weeks, it is happening when Christmas celebrations and New Year celebrations are on the holiday cards. The highest cost of the gas in the most major cities of US was $2.26 per gallon in Washington State as well as in California.

As per Trilby Lundberg, an industry analyst, the present cost is about 20 cents more than the price which was in the last year. However, the average price of 2016 is 31 cents less than what is was in the year 2015 and it is about $1.21 per gallon which is again below than what it was in the year 2014.

On Friday, the gas price was highest in the San Diego region of United States, with $2.68 per gallon. And it was found the EI paso, Texas had the lowest price in the entire US which was $1.99 per gallon. In addition to this, as per Gas Buddy Calculator, it has also been found that the southern as well as mid west regions of the United States has low price which is less than about $2.04.

There was a high price noticed in east coast region with more than $2.24 for just one gallon. As per Lundberg, the hike has been as an outcome of meeting by important oil countries on 30th November. The average price of US has increased to 4 cents which is now $2.48.
