Like never before October is just flooded with most anticipated video game releases. This October, publishers have scheduled their biggest and best games, for release, hoping that they will be a hit in this holiday shopping wave.
With both small and big video games, we have brought you a list of top 5 games that releases this month and which you should probably buy.
Mafia III- 7TH OCTOBER (available for Xbox One, PS4, PC)
Mafia III is a game totally based on action and adventure in the era of 1968, which is developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games. The storyline is about Lincoln Clay, an orphan boy, who was adopted by black mobsters. He later served as a Vietnam War veteran and now, he is on a journey to build a new crime organization empire in the city of New Bordeaux (which is a fictional recreation of New Orleans).
The story revolves around the racial tension in that era and also the raw gameplay, which can be really enjoyed when played.
Batman: Return to Arkham – 18TH OCTOBER (available for Xbox One, PS4)
Batman: Arkham is a series of action video games based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, developed by Rocksteady Studios and Virtuos, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Batman: Return to Arkham is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, 2009 (in which Batman stops Joker from destroying Gotham City after taking control over Arkham Asylum) and Batman: Arkham City, 2011 (in this Batman unfolds the mystery of “Protocol 10”, while dying with a disease inflicted by Joker).
Batman: Return to Arkham features re-developed versions of Arkham City and Arkham Asylum using the Unreal Engine 4 which improved the resolution, frame rate, texture quality, and also upgraded models and environment for Xbox One and PS4. For those who missed the first two Arkham games, this is a must play game for them to experience the uneven thrills.
Battlefield I – 21TH OCTOBER (available for Xbox One, PS4, PC)
Battlefield 1 is an upcoming first-person shooter game that emphasizes on teamwork and historic events during the period of World War I, developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. In this version of Battlefield players can use of World War I weapons, including bolt-action rifles, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, mustard gas, tanks, and even horseback cavalry charges to fight enemies. This game can be played along with 64 players as the new squad system allows a group of players to enter or leave the game server at their will, which makes this game more challenging.
Battlefield has also received the Best Action Game Award in Game Critics Award, 2016. So, this is the game one must fetch in the stores.
Titanfall 2 – 28TH OCTOBER (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
Titanfall 2, a sequel of Titanfall (2014), is a first-person shooting game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. The storyline of the gameplay focuses on Frontier Militia rifleman named Jack Cooper, who aspires to become a pilot. After being abandoned behind the IMC lines, Cooper teams up with a veteran Vanguard-class Titan named BT-7274, working together against the unexpected odds to pursue a mission which was never meant for him. Titanfall 2 uses the whole new upgraded version of Source Game Engine, along with the combination of custom audio and texture streaming system created in-house.
EA has already partnered with several companies such as Pepsi’s Mountain Dew, Doritos, and Buffalo Wild Wings for promotion of the Titanfall 2. Titanfall 2 also won the Best Online Multiplayer Award in Game Critics Awards, 2016.
TES V: Skyrim Special Edition – 28TH OCTOBER (available for Xbox One, PS4, PC)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is an open world action role-playing video game which is the fifth edition of The Elder Scrolls series, developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had previously stunned the gaming market in late 2011 and now, it comes again with all three DLC expansions – Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn – and a completely exclusive range of graphical updates, with full mod support for Xbox One and PC.
Skyrim is powered by Bethesda’s Creation Engine, designed especially for Skyrim. This time Bethesda has put more emphasis on improving the stability and resolution of the game, overcoming all the technical issues that were in previous editions of the game.
