If you are a kid from 90’s you must have heard about one of the most popular games of that era called Sonic. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of the most iconic game which revolutionized the whole gaming community, Sega, the producer of Sonic the hedgehog made a huge announcement on Friday, the July 22nd. In a sold out event of Comic-Con in San Diego at the House of Blues, Sega announced the release of two new Sonic games due holiday season 2017.
2 New Sonic Games are:
Sonic Mania, one of the two new games is a remix of the original 2D Sonic game from past which was created by Christian Whitehead, also known as Taxman and Stealth. The game marked a noticeable success for 16-bit consoles and was loved by the Millennials all over the world. The game will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is playable in different game modes such as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. The Project Sonic is an ambitious attempt to revive the games from the 90s and post arcade era. It is insane to see that everyone is in support of the Sega’s announcement.
The Sonic Project, the temporary title given to the second gameis a blend of retro and modern approach. Set to release in 2017 as well, this 3D game will also be available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and NX at retail and digital stores.
In the official teaser trailer released by the Sonic Team that produced Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations, Sonic is shown as a hero who will fight and destroy the robots which are responsible for the destruction of the world. Modern Sonic, known for his super speed which he inherited from retro Sonic is joined by the latter to help him save the world from the darkest times. Trailer encourages the gamer to join the resistance with Sonic.
