Starting from design to performance level, there is a big list of common factors between the late Xiaomi models and iPhone models. In this article, I compared Xiaomi Mi 5 with mighty Apple iPhone 6s, which helps you to buy the best device in the market.
In terms of design, the last few Xiaomi devices were more or less similar to the iPhone models. However, most people will find late Xiaomi models more cool and stylish than the iPhone models.
Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in a sleek design and its size promises to offer a firm and comfortable grip. The glass panel and the metal plate meet each other seamlessly. On the other hand, iPhone 6s gives a bulky feel. Apple went on far enough to curve the edges of iPhone 6s, whereas Xiaomi makers have perfectly made the edges of Xiaomi Mi 5 to give a better look and feel. As far as weight is concerned, Xiaomi My 5 weighs 14 grams less than that of iPhone 6s, making it more comfortable for the users.
The iPhone 6s rear camera sticks out of the phone, which is indeed a design flaw because it takes away a lot of quality. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 5 has its rear camera inside the frame, just like any other genuine mobile camera and is easy to keep on the surface.
As far as digital design is concerned, iPhone 6s come with an extra large round shaped home button, which does not match with other icons. The oval shaped home button of Xiaomi Mi 5 fits with the rest icons perfectly.
Perhaps the only part in the design where iPhone 6s outnumbers Xiaomi Mi 5 is the interface. iPhone has a shaded pro look which makes it look like 3D while Xiaomi Mi 5’s icons look cartoonish.
iPhone 6S comes with a 4.7 inches LCD screen display with 750 x 1337 pixels resolution at 326 PPI, whereas Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a 5.5 inches HD LCD display with 1080p resolution at 427 PPI. Clearly, iPhone 6s stands no chance against Xiaomi Mi 5 in terms of design.
As I mentioned earlier about the faulty camera design of iPhone 6S, now let us come to camera speculations and compare the two handsets. iPhone 6s features a 12 MP rear camera, whereas Xiaomi Mi 5 features 16 MP rear cameras designed by Sony which has a built in 4 axis ultra focus system. Yet once again, the speculations of iPhone 6s stand no chance against the Xiaomi model.
iPhone 6S is powered by a 1715 mAh battery, whereas the Xiaomi model is equipped with a non removable 3000 mAh battery. The Battery power itself represents superiority of Xiaomi Mi 5 over iPhone 6s.
Xiaomi Mi 5 runs in the Android Marshmallow Operating System while iPhone 6s runs in iOS 9 Operating Systems. We all know that the Android Operating System is much better than iOS Operating Systems, at least in terms of flexibility of use.
As far as performance is concerned, the Xiaomi handset is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.1 GHz along with 32 / 64 GB internal storage and 3 GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Apple flagship bearer is powered by an Apple A9 processor clocked at 1.84 GHz and along with 16 / 64 / 128 GB internal storage and 2 GB of RAM.
The Apple flagship bearer is tagged with a price tag of $649 while its counterpart, the Xiaomi handset is tagged with a price tag of $499.
In almost every speculation Xiaomi Mi 5 has beaten iPhone 6s now, it’s the customer’s call on whether he will run behind features or brand!
