Titanfall 2 is a first-person shooter and is a sequel to Titanfall. The first part wasn’t a great success and that’s why the developers have made some interesting gameplay changes.Titanfall2 has been in the news since his grand announcement at E3. Will it be a success, is still a question. We present you a preview of this action packed game.
The story is focused on Frontier Militia, Rifleman Jack Cooper, who wants to become a Titan Pilot. Trapped behind IMC lines, Jack must team up with a veteran Vanguard-class Titan named BT-7274, to defeat his enemies and uphold a mission he was never meant to do.
Titanfall 2 continues after the events of Titanfall and will include characters from previous instalment.
The game is a first person-shooter in which you take control of both the pilot, and the Titans. Titans are exoskeletons. The pilot has many abilities in this game. These abilities include invisibility cloaking, zip lining, double jumping and use of jetpacks. There are some new mechanics in this game such as pulse blade, which is a throwing knife that tells us about the location of enemies close to us and the hook is great. There is a new mechanism which is known as holo pilot in which a holographic pilot that mimics players’ action to puzzle enemies. While executing an enemy, the camera angle shifts to third-person.
Titans are significantly slower than the pilots, but they have more powerful firearms. Different types of titans have specific special abilities. There are many customisable options that add to its fun. The Artificial Intelligence is also expected to be much harder. Players are allowed to multiple methods to deal with the enemies. There are a large variety of weapons. Stealth is definitely going to play a major role in completion of some missions.
Skill system is improved. In Multiplayer mode, matchmaking is enhanced as well which helps players to find a new match. A new feature, Networks allows players to form a group. Players can join more than one network.
The graphics are good. The game is giving 60 FPS at a resolution of 900p. The lighting has improved as well. Respawn is currently putting the finishing touches on some features that could help with resolution. The graphic engine is still unknown.
The game was well received when it was announced at E3. However, its beta version has been heavily criticised by the fans. Titanfall 2’s technical test is showing a very different picture than what the fans were expecting. There are many irritating bugs in the game which are very annoying. However, these issues are expected to sort out and EA is confident that approximately 9 to 10 million units of the game are expected to sell in its first year of release.
Titanfall had an underwhelming performance. Titanfall 2 must improve from its predecessor to move this franchise in the right direction. The developers must fix the bugs to have any chance to give completion to other top releases. The game’s official requirements are not known yet.
