As the new iPhone 7 launch by Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is not far from us, the Apple fanboys are eagerly waiting for the new handsets – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (do not expect iPhone 7 Pro this time). A latest leaked image of AT&T’s merchandising reset hours for its employees suggests a release date for the most awaited device of the year.
So far, the leaks and rumors pointed at September 7 as the Apple iPhone launch date in a separate event by Apple, but no invites have been started to flow out of the company yet. Apple may start to take the pre-orders on September 9, two days after the launch and 4 days after the Labor Day.
Earlier, the store availability (we call it the release date) of iPhone 7 is expected to be September 16, 2016, according to the most popular leakster @Evleaks. But now, the new leaked image of merchandising reset hours notification to AT&T employees shows two dates for the reset – September 9 and September 23. The first one is expected for the start of pre-orders and the second one for in-store sales.
Meanwhile, a new rumor has surfaced about the naming of the device. According to a Chinese supply source, Apple will be naming the device as iPhone 6SE, as the sources cited the labels and packaging material.
Things we know so far about the upcoming iPhone 7:
The new iPhone 7 would be a 5.5-inch smartphone with a Force Touch home button, dual camera setup, no 3.5mm headphone jack, Lightning port for charging, data transfer and to work as earphone port, no space gray color (instead space black will be introduced) and high capacity storage options than the previous models. There were some reports that suggested a dual speaker system on the new handset, but lately, it’s confimed that the speaker mesh (holes) on the other side at the bottom of the device is purely cosmetics, with a microphone inserted inside it.
